Japan (Tokyo): The Land of the Rising Sony.

Last night we met with Cyrus
at the opening of the first permanent Internet Cafe
in Japan.
They were running an IBM browser on OS/2 machines
and my site looked like shit.
Among many missing things
this IBM browser does not support background images
and cannot scale the image files!

Anne and I had dinner in one of those Zen/Avant Garde-inspired
Japanese restaurant. It was raw everything except the service
which was exquisite.
If you ever are in Hiro'o (this Tokyo area) at dinner time
you must try this restaurant (Hibiki 5485-0020).

Today we criss-crossed Akasaka and Roppongi.
After so many Japanese food it was relaxing
to have a pizza next to the Hard Rock Cafe (no we didn't go there)
in Roppongi.

A detail that contributes to make Japan unfamiliar to me (and I like it)
is the way sugar is presented.
It is either in long and narrow paper bags
or in liquid form like Mc Donald's BBQ sauce but transparent.
"Key" is the company that makes those.

And bicycles ride on the pavement.
